      INITIAL SURVEY

• Audit current tax rate as assigned by the state agency.
• Analyze company personnel policies and forms as they affect unemployment insurance.
• Educate supervisors and other designated employees on unemployment insurance issues, including:
  1. Hiring practices
  2. Warning, suspending, or discharging employees
  3. Voluntary quit situations
  4. Leave of absence
  5. Offers of work made to prior employees
  6. Cutbacks in staffing

  CLAIMS SUPERVISION

• Audit each claim as to eligibility, benefit period, benefits paid, and benefit charges to employer's account.
• Investigate, protest, and follow-up on all unemployment claims.
• Represent employer at all unemployment hearings.
• Process claims to their final disposition, up to and including the board of review.

  MERIT RATING

• Verify the accuracy of the annual contribution rate as assigned by the state unemployment agency.
• Audit charge statements issued by the state unemployment agency.
• Review and record all quarterly and annual unemployment reports submitted to our office.

  REPORTS AND CONSULTATION

• Updates on unemployment law changes.
• Prepare claims activity reports.
• Periodic visits to review and discuss matters pertinent to the proper maintenance of your unemployment control program.
• Consult with employers on specific problems to insure proper documentation is prepared to assist in disqualification of unemployment insurance benefits.
